Trouble Shooting

Verify customer complaint by operating power windows to duplicate condition. Visually inspect components. Check for the following: proper window alignment, window mounting (regulator and bracket), window frame interference, blown fuse(s), damaged wiring harness, loose or corroded connections, damaged switches and damaged power window motor. If inspection reveals an obvious problem which can be easily serviced, repair as necessary. If inspection does not reveal an obvious problem which can be easily serviced, continue diagnosis. On vehicles equipped with driver's door module, perform self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . On vehicles equipped with one-touch down module, diagnose and repair by symptom.
