BODY SUPPORT-UPPER, EXCURSION

Removal and Installation

NOTE:
- This procedure shows the type of body mount used in the number 2,3, and 6 positions. The number 4 and 5 body mounts are similar.
- Do not reuse body support mounting fasteners. New fasteners must be installed for each fastener that has been removed or loosened.

1. Remove the lower body mount from the unserviceable upper body mount.
2. Loosen the 13 remaining body mount bolts. Do not remove at this time.
- During installation, remove and discard the bolts and nuts. Install new bolts and nuts.

3. CAUTION: When removing upper body insulators, all other body mount support bolts must be loose before raising the vehicle cab to prevent permanent structural damage from occurring to the vehicle cab.

Raise and support the vehicle body enough to allow the removal of the unserviceable upper body mount.







4. Remove the upper body mount.

5. NOTE: During installation, do not use any lubricants on the body mounts or fasteners.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
