Battery Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery cables.







2. Remove the battery ground cable screw and remove the cable.







3. Remove the screw located on top of the frame rail.







4. Remove the nut on bottom of the engine, near the front engine cover.







5. Remove the nut located on the engine block right above the oil pan rail. Pull the transmission line bracket off the stud.







6. Remove the stud and the battery ground cable eyelet.







7. Disconnect the starter motor connections.
1 Remove the nut and disconnect the solenoid cable.
2 Remove the nut and disconnect the starter motor positive cable.

8. Remove the cables.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
