Test F: Auxiliary Instrument Cluster Does Not Respond To Scan Tool

- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect auxiliary instrument cluster connector C853. Measure resistance between C853 terminal No. 13 (Gray/Red wire) and DLC connector terminal No. 2 (Gray/Red wire). See Figure and Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open between C853 and DLC connector. Test system operation.
- Measure resistance between C853 terminal No. 12 (Blue/Red wire) and DLC terminal No. 10 (Blue/Red wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace auxiliary instrument cluster. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open between C853 and DLC connector. Test system operation.
