Test D: Generic Electronic Module Does Not Respond To Scan Tool

1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect Generic Electronic Module (GEM) connector C104. Measure resistance between GEM connector C104 terminal No. 16 (White/Green wire) and DLC terminal No. 7 (White/Black wire). See Figure and Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace GEM and test system operation. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open between C104 and DLC connector. Test system operation.
