Removal & Installation (Front)
- Remove door trim panel and trim shield. Remove side impact bolster. Remove 4 screws securing door speaker, and disconnect wire connector (if equipped). Detach door latch release handle. Cut through Butyl strip securing watershield to door, and peel back watershield. Reinstall window control switch, and lower window to align window regulator-to-window glass retaining bolts with access holes in door.
- Disconnect window control switch harness connector. Remove 2 window regulator-to-window glass retaining bolts. While holding window glass at top of opening, lower window regulator, and detach window glass from window regulator. Secure window glass in up position using hooks. See Fig 1.
- Remove 7 screws securing window regulator. Disconnect window motor harness connector. Remove window regulator and window motor assembly from door. Remove 3 window motor retaining bolts. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten window regulator-to-window glass retaining bolts to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m). Tighten window regulator mounting bolts to 62 INCH lbs. (7 N.m).
