Test D: One-Touch Down Feature Is Inoperative (4-Door)

  1. Test driver's power window control switch. See DRIVER'S POWER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH (4-DOOR) . If driver's power window control switch is okay, go to next step. If driver's power window control switch is faulty, replace driver's power window control switch.
  2. Turn ignition ON. Push DOWN on driver's power window control switch to second detent. Listen and feel one-touch down relay. If relay clicks, go to next step. If relay does not click, go to step  4.
  3. Turn ignition OFF. Disconnect one-touch down relay connector C738. Turn ignition ON. Push DOWN on driver's power window switch to second detent. Measure voltage between C738 terminal No. 4 (Green/Black wire) and ground. See Figure. If battery voltage is present, replace one-touch down relay and test system operation. If battery voltage is not present, repair open or high resistance in Green/Black wire and test system operation.
  4. Turn ignition OFF. Disconnect one-touch down relay connector C738. Turn ignition ON. Push DOWN on driver's power window switch to second detent. Measure voltage between C738 terminal No. 3 (Green/Blue wire) and ground while holding control switch DOWN. If battery voltage is present, install new one-touch down relay and test system operation. If battery voltage is not present, repair open or high resistance in Green/Blue wire and test system operation.
