Engine torque modulation is achieved by regulating fuel and spark to the cylinders. The stability assist system operates using the ABS module to interact with the PCM to reduce engine torque if one or both rear wheels lose traction and begin to spin during acceleration.
Voltage is supplied to the stability assist switch through circuit 1003 (GY/YE). The signal from the stability assist switch is sent to the ABS module through circuit 959 (GY).
Possible Causes
- circuit 959 (GY) open or short to power
- stability assist switch
- ABS module
