Removal And Installation: Tie-Rod: Installation

NOTE: Remove all traces of thread locking compound from the rack.

Using a suitable wrench, install the tie-rod.
- Apply Thread locking compound to the inner threads of the new tie-rod.

NOTE: Install the boot using new clamps.

NOTE: Make sure the tie-rod end is secured by the same number of turns used to remove it.

Install the tie-rod end and lock nut.
Install the steering gear, For additional information, refer to STEERING GEAR .
Check the toe adjustment. For additional information, refer to TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT .
