Fuel Pump Module: Description

Thunderbird uses a saddle-type fuel tank consisting of 2 fuel sending units and 2 fuel pump modules. A fuel transfer pump in left half of fuel tank supplies fuel to right half, which contains FPDM. FPDM contains fuel level sensor and an inlet filter. FPDM supplies fuel under pressure to fuel injection supply manifold and fuel level signal to fuel gauge on instrument panel.
