Description & Operation: MEXICO-Built

NOTE: Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system on vehicles manufactured in Mexico use an anti-theft system only. Vehicles manufactured in Mexico are identified by 3FA as first 3 characters of VIN.

Models made in Mexico use a keyless entry/anti-theft system controlled through the RAP module which uses a 3 button RKE transmitter. When lock button is pressed once, interior lights will turn off and Anti-Theft System (ATS) will arm. If button is pressed a second time within 5 seconds, horn will sound once to verify all doors are closed and ATS is armed, horn will sound twice if a door is open. When unlock button is pressed, illuminated entry is turned on and ATS is disarmed. When panic button is pressed, illuminated entry is turned on, horn sounds and parking lights flash. If perimeter alarm has been triggered, pressing panic button will disarm ATS. Pressing panic button a second time will turn off panic alarm, if set by RKE or perimeter alarm has been triggered.
