NOTE:
Unless otherwise specified, information in this article applies to both Escort and ZX2. Escort may be referred to as Sedan, and ZX2 may be referred to as Coupe.
Power windows are operated by reversible-type motors mounted to individual window regulators. A master window/door lock switch is located on driver door armrest and can activate all power windows. Each window has an individual switch for separate control.
One-touch down feature on window control switch will lower left front window to full down position with brief touch on switch. Escort has a lock-out switch incorporated in master window/door lock switch. When actuated, lock-out switch prevents window operation from other window switches.
