Valve Springs: Installation

NOTE: Check that the valve collets are correctly seated.

Install the valve springs.
- Insert the valve springs and valve spring retainer.
1. Compress the valve springs.
2. Fit the valve collets.

NOTE: Do not tighten yet.

Detach special tool 303-363 and insert the spark plug.
Repeat the operations for all the other cylinders.
Coat the valve tappet with engine oil and insert it.
Install the camshafts. For additional information, refer to CAMSHAFTS .
