Generic Electronic Module (GEM): Removal

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the GEM, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. Refer to MODULE CONTROLLED FUNCTIONS .

Disable the supplemental restraint system (SRS). For additional information, refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS .
Remove the glove compartment.

Disconnect the GEM electrical connectors.

Remove the GEM.
