Inspection and Verification
- Verify the customer concern by operating the safety belt.
- Visually inspect for the following obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL DAMAGE VISUAL INSPECTION REFERENCE
Mechanical Electrical - Loose webbing
- Safety belt retractor and tongue assembly
- Fuse(s)
- Damaged wiring harness
- Loose or corroded connections
- Safety belt warning chime
- Safety belt warning switch
- If the concern is not visually evident, determine the symptom. GO to SYMPTOM CHART .
