Transmission Range Sensor: Installation

  1. Place transaxle in Neutral and align marks on TR sensor and manual lever. See Figure . Install and hand tighten 2 TR sensor retaining bolts. Adjust TR sensor. See TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR  under ADJUSTMENTS. Ensure TR sensor harness connector is connected.
  2. Position manual control lever into place and tighten manual control lever nut to specification. Install shift cable and bracket and tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install air cleaner outlet tube. Reconnect negative battery cable. Ensure vehicle starts only when gearshift lever is in Park and Neutral positions.
