Preliminary Inspection

Verify customer's complaint by operating power mirror system. Before performing any testing, perform visual inspection. Check for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage. Check central junction box MIRROR fuse (5-amp) on Escort, or RADIO fuse (5-amp) on ZX2. Check for damaged wiring harness and/or loose or corroded connections. Check for damage to switches, mirror assemblies and mirror motors. Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under SYSTEM TESTS.
