Before performing any testing, perform PRELIMINARY INSPECTION under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Repair as necessary. Check PCM for stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DIESEL

NOTE:
On diesel models, all speed control functions are controlled by the PCM. To repair speed control systems on diesel models, retrieve PCM diagnostic trouble codes and perform appropriate test procedures. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DIESEL
