Main Control Valve Body: Removal
- Disconnect the battery cables. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Remove the battery and tray. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Disconnect the breather tube and mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
- Remove the intake tube and air cleaner cover.
- Disconnect the transaxle wiring harness electrical connector, and TR sensor connector.
- Disconnect the shift cable.
- Remove the shift cable and bracket, and position out of the way.
- Remove the vent tube hose.
- Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & HOISTING .
- Remove the LH front wheel. For additional information, refer to WHEELS & TIRES .
- Remove the splash shield.
- Remove the main control cover.
- Remove the main control cover gasket.
- Remove the main control valve body bolts.
- Lift the main control valve body while disconnecting the manual valve link.
- Depress the retaining tabs and push the solenoid valve body electrical connector down through the transaxle case.
- Make sure the manual valve control lever does not fall out of the main control valve body while removing from the vehicle.
