Power Steering Pump: Notes

CAUTION: Do not remove the power steering pulley from the power steering pump. The power steering pulley is not removable and damage to the pulley may occur.

Remove the engine appearance cover.
Remove the cleaner and the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in Engine Performance .
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position on hoist.
Remove the LH front frame rail deflector shields.
Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Fill, purge and leak test the system. For additional information, refer to POWER STEERING SYSTEM PURGING and POWER STEERING SYSTEM FILLING .
