NOTE:
The shift control cable adjustment procedure must be performed in the order shown.
- Position the transaxle range selector lever in Overdrive. For vehicles with column shift, hang a 3 lb. (1.4 kg) weight on the lever. For all vehicles, loosen the manual control lever-to-shift control cable nut. See Fig 1.
- Position the manual control lever in Overdrive. Tighten the shift cable retaining nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- For vehicles with column shift, remove the 3 lb. (1.4 kg) weight. For all vehicles, check the operation of the transaxle in each transaxle range selector lever position.
