Preliminary Inspection

Verify customer concern by operating Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system. Attempt to duplicate condition by operating RKE transmitter functions. Ensure battery is fully charged. Visually inspect the following components for indicated conditions. Check for binding latch mechanism, binding linkage and misaligned door. Check all related fuses and relays. See POWER DOOR LOCKS and ANTI-THEFT wiring diagrams. Check connectors for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Check for damaged wiring harness. Check for damaged power door lock actuator and relay. Check for damaged luggage compartment release solenoid. Check for low RKE transmitter battery charge or damaged transmitter. Repair as necessary. RKE transmitter battery is a 3-volt coin-type lithium battery (CR2032 or equivalent). If no problem is found, perform self-diagnostics. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  .
