Test E: Radio Interference
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Turn radio to a station where radio interference is present. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect generator connectors. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If radio interference is still present, go to next step. If radio interference is no longer present, replace generator. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION . Check system operation.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Substitute known-good radio noise capacitor. Radio noise capacitor is located in engine compartment. See Figure. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If radio interference is still present, repair entertainment system as necessary.
