Test G: System Does Not Charge
- Inspect drive belt condition and tensioner. See BELT TENSION under ADJUSTMENTS. Repair or replace belt or tensioner as necessary. Check system operation. If belt and tensioner are okay, go to next step.
- Perform GENERATOR NO-LOAD TEST under ON-VEHICLE TESTING. If voltage is less than specified, perform TEST B: CHARGE WARNING INDICATOR STAYS ON . If voltage is as specified, check system for parasitic drain and repair as necessary. See PARASITIC DRAW TEST under ON-VEHICLE TESTING.
