Cylinder Head: Disassembly

  1. Remove the bolts and remove the engine lifting eyes.

  2. Install the Valve Spring Compressor Set, the Pivot Bar and the Valve Spring Compressor Adapter.
  3. Compress the valve spring and remove the valve spring retainer keys and retainer.
  4. Slowly release the valve spring compressor and release the valve springs.
  5. Remove the valve springs and retainers.
    6. NOTE: Mark each valve if the original valves are to be used.

  6. Remove the valves.
  7. Remove and discard the valve stem seals (6571).
