Cylinder Head: Removal
- Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
- Remove the camshafts. For additional information, refer to CAMSHAFT .
- Remove the thermostat housing. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL

- Remove the coolant recovery reservoir. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL
.
- Disconnect the fuel line. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM-GENERAL INFORMATION

- Remove the power steering pump and bracket assembly. For additional information, refer to PUMP--ZETEC
and PUMP -- 2.0L
.
- Remove the generator. For additional information, refer to GENERATOR
.
- Remove the oil level indicator and tube. For additional information, refer to OIL LEVEL INDICATOR AND TUBE .
- Disconnect the vacuum hoses.

- Disconnect the speed control and the accelerator control cables.

- Disconnect the main engine electrical connectors.

- Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.

- Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING & HOISTING

- Remove the bolts and the splash shield.
