Valve Cover: Removal
- Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose (6853) from the fitting on the valve cover (6582).

- Disconnect the wiring connector at the oil control solenoid.

- On early production vehicles, remove the bolts and the appearance cover.

- Position the accelerator cable (9A758) and speed control cable out of the way.
- Remove the ignition wire and brackets (12280) from the spark plugs (12405).

- Remove the bolt, the nut and the front support isolator damper.

- Remove the bolts and the upper timing belt cover.

- Remove the valve cover.
- Remove the ten bolts.
- Remove the valve cover and valve cover gasket (6584).

- Inspect the valve cover for damage. Install a new valve cover if necessary.
