Fuel Pump Module: Removal

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Depress 2 clips securing front of rear seat cushion, and remove rear seat cushion. Disconnect 2 wiring harness connectors from fuel pump module.
  2. Remove 4 screws retaining fuel pump module access cover and remove access cover. See Fig 1. Remove any dirt from around fuel pump module flange area. Disconnect fuel line from fuel pump module. See FUEL LINE CONNECTORS . Remove retainer ring (1) and open fuel pump module cover (2). See Fig 2. Push inward on locking tabs (1) and remove fuel pump module (2). See Fig 3.
