Intake Manifold: Installation

  1. Inspect and install new intake manifold gaskets, if necessary.

  2. Install the PCV hose.

    3. NOTE: Engine removed for clarity.
    NOTE: Be sure to install the bolts in the previously marked locations.

  3. Install the intake manifold and the six mounting bolts.
  4. Connect the KS electrical connector.

  5. Install the coolant expansion tank. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  6. Install the upper oil level indicator tube bolt.

  7. Install the lower oil level indicator tube bolt.

  8. Install the lower intake bolt.

  9. Install the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose.

  10. Install the vacuum hoses and connect the electrical connectors.

  11. Connect the TMAP sensor electrical connector.

  12. Connect the evaporative emissions hoses.

  13. Connect the IAC electrical connector.

  14. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.

  15. Install the accelerator cable bracket.
    1. Install the accelerator cable bracket.
    2. Install the accelerator cable and speed control cable (if equipped).

  16. Install the accelerator control snow shield.

  17. Install the air cleaner outlet tube.

  18. Connect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
