Removal And Installation

Remove the quarter window trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
Use Safety Belt Bolt Bit to remove the rear safety belt lower anchor bolt.

Use Safety Belt Bolt Bit to remove the rear safety belt upper guide.

Use Safety Belt Bolt Bit to remove the rear safety belt retractor bolt.

NOTE: Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.

NOTE: Ensure that after the rear safety belt retractor is installed, the retractor is not stuck in the Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR) mode.

NOTE: Apply Ford Threadlock 262 (E2FZ-19554-B) or equivalent to fasteners when installing safety belt buckle or retractor assemblies.

NOTE: Perform the Functional Test to ensure that the new retractor operates correctly. For additional information, refer to COMPONENT TEST .
