Removal And Installation: Tubes: Removal

    NOTE: Place a drain pan under the fluid cooler inlet tubes (7A030) to catch the fluid.

  1. Disconnect the upper fluid cooler tube banjo bolt from the radiator and discard the two copper crush washers.
  2. Disconnect the upper fluid cooler tube from the transmission.

  3. Raise and support the vehicle; refer to JACKING & HOISTING .
  4. Remove the LH splash shield.
    1. Remove the splash shield bolts.
    2. Remove the LH splash shield.

  5. Remove the RH splash shield.
    1. Remove the splash shield bolts.
    2. Remove the RH splash shield.

  6. Disconnect the lower fluid cooler tube banjo bolt from the radiator and discard the two copper crush washers.

  7. Remove the lower fluid cooler tube from the transmission.

  8. Remove the fluid cooler tube bracket bolts and remove the fluid cooler tubes from the vehicle.
