Selector Lever - Gearshift: Removal

Remove the transmission control selector dial bezel; refer to BEZEL - TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECTOR DIAL .
Disconnect the brake shift interlock actuator electrical connector.

Disconnect the park range switch electrical connector.

Remove the screws and the brake shift interlock actuator.

Remove the gearshift lever cable nut.

CAUTION: Be careful not to kink the shift cable and bracket (7E395) when repositioning it aside to avoid cable binding.

CAUTION: Do not loosen the ignition/shifter interlock cable locknut from the factory setting for proper shift-lock operation to avoid misadjustment.

CAUTION: Be careful not to kink the ignition/shifter interlock cable (3F719) when repositioning it aside.

Hold the (A) ignition/shifter interlock cable locknut to prevent it from turning while loosening the (B) ignition/shifter interlock cable locknut and position the cable aside.
Remove the nuts and remove the gearshift lever.
