Valve Tappet: Removal

  1. Remove the camshafts (6250). For additional information, refer to CAMSHAFT .
    2. CAUTION: If the camshaft and valve tappet (6500) are to be reused, mark the location of the valve tappet to make sure that they are assembled in their original positions.

  2. Remove the valve tappet from the cylinder head (6049).
  3. Inspect the valve tappet. For additional information, refer to VALVE TAPPET INSPECTION .
