Keyless Entry Key-Pad: Service and Repair

KEYLESS ENTRY KEYPAD

REMOVAL

NOTE:
- This procedure applies to all Excursion and F-Super Duty vehicles built after 12/03.
- On F-Super Duty vehicles built before 12/03, the wireless keyless entry keypad uses a self-adhesive material to attach it to the driver door. No wiring harness disconnect is necessary.

1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the front door trim panel.
3. Position the watershield aside.
4. Disconnect the keypad electrical connector.
- Release the harness pin-type retainers.







5. Remove the keyless entry keypad and harness.
1 Remove the clip.
2 Remove the keyless entry keypad and harness.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
