Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)

REMOVAL

1. CAUTION: Always disconnect the battery ground cable prior to working on the electronic engine controls.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.







2. Disconnect the auxiliary battery positive cable (LH side of the engine compartment).







3. Remove the auxiliary battery cover.







4. Disconnect the powertrain control module (PCM) electrical connectors.







5. Remove the bolts and PCM.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
