Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)

The anti-lock brake system (ABS) consists of the following components:

• hydraulic control unit (HCU)
• ABS module
• rear anti-lock brake sensor
• rear anti-lock brake sensor ring (integral to the ring gear)
• front wheel anti-lock brake sensors
• front wheel anti-lock brake sensor ring (integral to the hub and bearing assembly)
• yellow ABS warning indicator
• brake pressure sensor (also called speed control deactivator switch) (ABS only)
