PROBLEM SYMPTOM

No communication with the anti -lock brake system (ABS) module	Ignition switch position. Central junction box (CJB) fuse 29 (15A). Circuitry. Diagnostic tool. ABS module.	Go To PINPOINT TEST A: NO COMMUNICATION WITH THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE .
Unable to enter self-test	Ignition switch position. Anti-lock brake system (ABS) module connector not connected. Diagnostic tool. ABS module.	Go To PINPOINT TEST B: UNABLE TO ENTER SELF-TEST .
The red brake warning indicator stays on when the ignition switch is in RUN	Parking brake. Low brake fluid warning switch.	REFER to DISC .
	Circuitry. Instrument cluster. Ignition switch.	REFER to HORN .
The red brake warning indicator always on with ABS lamp	Anti-lock brake system (ABS) module connector not connected.	CONNECT the ABS module connector.
The red brake warning indicator always on with ABS lamp	Circuitry. Electronic brake distribution (EBD).	RETRIEVE the DTCs. REFER to the ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INDEX .
The yellow ABS warning indicator does not self-check - always on, no DTCs	Circuitry. Low battery voltage. Instrument cluster. Anti-lock brake system (ABS) module.	Go To PINPOINT TEST H: THE YELLOW ABS WARNING INDICATOR DOES NOT SELF-CHECK - ALWAYS ON, NO DTCs .
Poor vehicle tracking during anti-lock function	Tire pressure. Tire condition. Air in hydraulic brake system. Base brake system.	REFER to DISC .
Poor vehicle tracking during anti-lock function	Hydraulic control unit (HCU).	Go To PINPOINT TEST I: POOR VEHICLE TRACKING DURING ANTI-LOCK FUNCTION .
The traction control is inoperative - does not operate correctly	Central junction box (CJB) fuse 5 (15A). Circuitry. Traction control switch. Instrument cluster. Anti-lock brake system (ABS) module.	Go To PINPOINT TEST J: THE TRACTION CONTROL IS INOPERATIVE-DOES NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY .
The traction control indicator is inoperative - traction control switch	Circuitry. Traction control switch. Instrument cluster.	Go To PINPOINT TEST K: THE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR IS INOPERATIVE-TRACTION CONTROL SWITCH .
The traction control indicator is always on, no DTCs	Circuitry. Instrument cluster. Anti-lock brake system (ABS) module.	REFER to HORN .
