Engine Mount

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to GENERAL INFORMATION .
  2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
  3. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR, FUEL CHARGING, STARTING & ENGINE ELECTRONICS .
  4. Remove the upper radiator sight shield.

  5. Install the special tools and support the engine.

  6. Remove the LH and the RH lower splash shield.

  7. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table. To remove individual components, only carry out the listed steps.
    ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL STEPS

    Component Steps
    RH motor mount 1-6
    LH motor mount 7-12
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

ITEM 12: RH MOTOR MOUNT BRACKET REMOVAL NOTE 

  1. Remove the nut and disconnect the starter motor ground cable.

  2. Remove the nut and disconnect the wiring harness support bracket from the engine mount bracket.

ITEM 12: RH MOTOR MOUNT BRACKET INSTALLATION NOTE 

  1. Connect the starter motor ground cable and install the nut.

  2. Connect the wiring harness support bracket to the engine mount bracket and install the nut.
