Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the hardtop if installed and lower the convertible top.
  2. Detach the protective top cover pushpins.

  3. Gently pull the two corners of the protective cover away from the top brace until the two fasteners on each side are disengaged and position the cover aside.

  4. Raise the convertible top.
  5. CAUTION: Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the appropriate diagnostic equipment. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
    CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
  6. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY & CHARGING SYSTEM .
  7. Position the water shield aside.
  8. Remove the components in the order indicated in the figure.

  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
