Removal and Installation

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the four-wheel drive (4WD) control module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
Open and lower the glove box compartment.
Disconnect the connectors from the 4WD module.

Remove two nuts, one bolt and the 4WD module.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
