Selector Lever Cable Adjustment: Adjustment
- Shift selector lever in position "D".
- Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING .
- Disconnect the shift cable end from the manual control lever.
- Unlock the shift cable end. Make sure that the cable end moves freely.
- Move the transaxle selector lever to position "D" (TR sensor removed shown).
- Connect the shift cable end of the manual control lever.
- Press the lock tab down to secure the cable end from moving.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Check to make sure that the vehicle starts in PARK and NEUTRAL and the reverse lamps illuminate in REVERSE.
NOTE:
The transmission range (TR) sensor mark must be in line with the transaxle selector lever.
