Transmission Selector Lever: Installation

    NOTE: Use thread locking compound for the nuts.

  1. Install the selector lever assembly.
    • Install the four nuts.
  2. Connect the selector lever assembly electrical connector.

    3. NOTE: The selector lever has its own detent mechanism. Holding the selector lever is not necessary.

  3. Install the selector cable to the selector lever.
    1. Shift the selector lever to "P".
    2. Clip in the selector lever cable outer sleeve.
    3. Clip in the selector lever cable.
  4. Install the floor console. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
  5. Re-adjust the system. For additional information, refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT  .
