Removal and Installation
NOTE:
When installing a new accelerometer, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module must be configured (using vehicle as-built data) and calibrated. Follow the diagnostic tool directions for the calibration procedures. For module configuration, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION
.
- Remove the driver side front seat. For additional information, refer to SEATING .
- Remove the lower B-pillar trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Disconnect the accelerometer electrical connector.
- Remove the 3 accelerometer bolts.
- To install, tighten to 13 Nm (10 lb-ft).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Fold back the carpeting flap to gain access to the accelerometer.
