- The shift control is out of correct gear relationship
|
- Shift control component(s).
- Internal transaxle component(s).

- The selector lever indicator does not correspond to the gear
|
- Selector lever indicator adjustment.
|
- CHECK that the selector lever indicator adjustment is correct. REFER to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE ADJUSTMENT . ADJUST the selector lever indicator if necessary. TEST the system for normal operation. If the condition persists, GO to PINPOINT TEST B .

- The control linkage is binding
|
- Shift control component(s).
- Internal transaxle component(s).

- The gearshift lever will not shift through all gear ranges
|
- Shift control component(s).
- Internal transaxle component(s).
|
|
- Rattle, noise, buzz or other noise
|
- Gearshift lever.
- Steering column shrouds.
|
- INSPECT the gearshift lever and shrouds for damage and incorrect installation. REPAIR as necessary.
|
- Water enters inside the vehicle
|
- Shift cable rubber grommet.
|
- SECURE the grommet to the bulkhead.
|
- Torn shift cable rubber grommet.
|
