Transmission Range (TR) Sensor Adjustment: Adjustment
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL position it on a hoist. For additional information, JACKING & LIFTING

- Set the parking brake.
- Loosen the clamps and remove the air cleaner tube.

- Remove the air cleaner assembly. For additional information, refer to FUEL CHARGING & CONTROLS

- Disconnect the digital transmission range (TR) sensor electrical connector.

- Disconnect the shift cable from the manual control lever.

- Remove the manual control lever.

- Loosen but do not remove the digital TR sensor bolts.

- Using the special tool, align the digital TR sensor and tighten the bolts.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

- Install the manual control lever and nut.
- Tighten to 13 Nm (10 lb-ft).

- Connect the shift cable back onto the manual control lever.

- Verify that the selector lever cable is correctly adjusted. For additional information, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION EXTERNAL CONTROLS

- Connect the digital TR range sensor electrical connector.

- Install the air cleaner assembly. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING

- Install the air cleaner tube and tighten the hose clamps.

- Check for correct vehicle operation. Verify that the vehicle starts in the PARK and NEUTRAL positions ant the reverse lamps illuminate in REVERSE.
