Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .

NOTE: Make sure the wheel speed sensor is fully seated before installation of the new bolt.

Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt.
- To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).

NOTE: Install a new O-ring.

Remove the wheel speed sensor.
Remove the 3 wheel speed sensor harness retainers.
Remove the wheel speed sensor harness pin-type retainers.
Gain access to the wheel speed sensor harness.
1. Remove the pin-type retainers.
2. Position the inner splash shield aside.

Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

NOTE: Apply a 2.5 mm (0.1 in) bead of sealant to the outside diameter of the wheel speed sensor.

Remove the wheel speed sensor and the harness.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
