Transmission Control (TC) Switch

The TC switch:

• is located on the end of the selector lever.
  • The TC switch is not removable from the selector lever. Install a new selector lever if a new TC switch is required.
• is a momentary contact switch.
• commands the powertrain control module (PCM) to disengage or engage the overdrive function of the transmission.
  • When overdrive (D) is disengaged, the message O/D OFF will illuminate on the instrument panel.
