Fuel Tank Draining
SPECIAL TOOL(S)
| Hand Operated Fuel Storage Tank 164-R3201 or equivalent |
WARNING:
Do not smoke, carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and can be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
- If equipped, turn the air suspension switch OFF.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
- Release the fuel system pressure. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe from the fuel tank.
- Using the special tool, pump the fuel from the fuel tank opening into the fuel storage tank.
