If no DTCs are present, REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
The yellow anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning indicator does not self-check	Instrument cluster Circuitry Anti-lock brake system (ABS) module	REFER to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER .
Spongy/soft/low brake pedal with no warning indicator	Air in brake hydraulic system Hydraulic control unit (HCU)	GO to PINPOINT TEST O .
Unintended ABS activation on vehicle equipped with stability assist	Steering wheel rotation sensor Steering wheel rotation sensor tone ring Circuitry ABS module	RETRIEVE and RECORD any ABS module DTCs. If DTCs are present, GO to the ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) INDEX in this article. If there are no DTCs, INSPECT the steering wheel rotation sensor tone ring for contamination and damage. CLEAN or INSTALL new as necessary. REFER to STEERING COLUMN: DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY . If the tone ring is OK, INSPECT the sensor for damage and correct installation. REINSTALL or INSTALL new as necessary. REFER to STEERING WHEEL ROTATION SENSOR in this article. If the sensor is OK, Go To PINPOINT TEST G .
