Oil Cooler: Installation

  1. Install the oil cooler and tube assembly and the mounting bolt.
    • Tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).

  2. Install the new oil filter.
    • Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil prior to installation.
    • Tighten the oil filter 1/2 turn after the gasket makes contact with sealing surface.
  3. Connect the 2 quick disconnect oil cooler coolant tubes.

  4. Fill and bleed the cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
